Over the last few months I’ve had many requests from blog owners and website owners asking me to link to their site. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to link to everyone and maintain the Christian blog links.

Today I’ve setup a Christian Directory that has multiple categories for all kinds of Christian websites. You can submit your site by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

I am charging a small fee to discourage spammers and worthless websites. The rates are going to increase later as the directory fills up. You can also submit your site for free as long as you post my reciprocal link on your site.

Finding a charity you can trust can be hard. So can finding a charity that make a difference with the money you donate. We all want to know that the money we are giving is being used for exactly what we expect it will be used for. I don’t know every detail of the charities I’ve listed below but I do either know someone that works for them or with them that has vouched for their efficient operation and sincere charity.
1. Your local church
Let’s just start here because this one, in my opinion, is the most important. While I probably Read more

As a follow up to my post “Do you encourage your pastor” I’m going to list a few ways that we can do exactly that. These are just a few of my ideas. If you have other ideas please leave them in the comments below.
1. Prayer: I’m starting off with prayer because I think it’s what our pastors and church leaders need the most from us. If you pray specific prayers of blessing for your pastor and his family they will be encouraged and blessed in the things of the Lord. Pray for protection, encouragement and peace from the Holy Spirit. Pray that The Holy Spirit would lead him in the way he should go. It’s good to let your pastor know that you are praying for him and his family. They will be encouraged to know that you care for them and are praying God’s Will and blessing over them.
2. Words: Sadly, Read more

Have you ever wanted to say an encouraging word to your pastor but decided not to because you doubt he will care what you have to say? I know I have and I’m sure a lot of you out there have too. I think it’s important to realize that our pastors are regular people just like you and me and they need to hear our encouraging words. Believe me when I say they hear plenty about what they are not doing well.

I’ve spent enough time in church to know both sides of the equation. Members of the church have a tendency to tell their pastor about all the things they should do better or that they don’t do well. We all have strong opinions and when we see something we don’t like we feel like it’s important that we tell the pastor about it. Read more

The final post about Revelation 1-3 is a summary of the content in each letter to the seven churches. Jesus starts each letter by uniquely describing Himself. He then says what the church does well before going into what He has against each church. He concludes by saying what will be given to those that overcome. I find it sobering to hear Jesus encourage each church in what they do well and convict them in their failures. He always gives those that are willing to endure and obey a path to repentance.

I’ve summarized and split up what the churches did well from where they failed. I omitted anything that overlapped between the churches. Read more

In the first three chapters of Revelation (really just chapters 2-3) Jesus speaks and tells John to write what he sees and hears. Jesus creates seven letters to seven churches. At the end of each short letter He makes a statement about overcoming. In my opinion, this mention of overcoming refers to those who endure in their faith and obedience until the end. Today I’m listing out the promises He gives to those that overcome and are not deterred by the Devil.

To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God 2:7 Read more

There is so much meat in the first three chapters of Revelation that I’m going to break it up into a couple of different blog posts. Obviously the first one will be on the different descriptions of Jesus during John’s vision on the island of Patmos. Here we get majestic descriptions of Jesus that we don’t see in many other parts of scripture.

Just reading these powerful verses about Jesus brings out holy fear of who He is and how holy He is. As you read you can imagine what the vision must of been like and how life changing it would be to have seen that vision of Jesus Christ. Read more

We’ve all heard it plenty of times… Wives submit to your husbands. Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:22-25). At times this can be a great challenge that we can all expect to struggle with.

There has been plenty written and said about how a wife is to respect and submit to her husband and how a husband is to love his wife.  To me this is only half the battle.  We also need to consider the other side of this equation.  Men, be someone who your wife can easily respect and submit to.  Women, be someone that your husband can easily love. We have an opportunity to set our spouse up to succeed. Read more

I’ve been listening to the song “How He Loves” a lot lately and just wanted to share it with you. I think it’s a good reminder that God is Jealous for us. He is jealous of our hearts, souls and minds.

Exodus 34:14
for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God

Exodus 20:5
For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God

Deuteronomy 4:24
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
