Humility is my favorite Christian book because it impacted my life more than any other book I have read. I know that sounds like a big statement but for me its true. After I read it the first time I got so excited I went out and bought a bunch of copies and handed them out to everyone in my Bible study group.

We just don’t talk about humility enough. Not with our friends, not at church or anywhere else. Once we realize how critical our humility is then we can realize how much its missing and how much more we need it. Andrew Murray does a great job explaining how important humility is and what it’s suppose to look like.

Murray explains that humility is the place of entire dependence on God and is the “first virtue of every man.” Pride therefore is the “root of every evil and sin.” Every right attitude towards The Lord is rooted in humility and without it we cannot please God.

I really encourage you to read this great book. Its another short one, only 103 pages. It helped me learn what true humility is and how much apart of my life it needs to be.
